When we create a site for someone, we need to host it somewhere -- kind of like renting an office space to put your desk and all your stuff. A host is where your site lives. I don't host things myself because even if that were my area of expertise, Texas has such bad weather and so many power glitches, it would be a very bad idea.
I do not recommend "free" or super-cheap hosting for your business because I may not be able to deliver the features or performance your site needs. I sometimes need a host to change server configuration or update software on their end, and Bluehost has always been easy to reach and responsive (and not in India). Also, Bluehost is fast and offers some features that make it easier to take credit cards on your site, should you need to do that.
If you are a client, we will work with you to get set up, and going forward you will be able to communicate directly with your host 24/7/365 in the unlikely event of an issue. You will be billed directly by the host and own your account, and be responsible for renewals.
The price is very reasonable, especially if you purchase 12-24 months of hosting at one time.
